Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, test automation, and quality engineering. This role involves designing and building automation frameworks, writing test scripts, and collaborating closely with developers, QA, and business teams to ensure the highest quality of software delivery.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks and tools.
Write and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and backend services.
Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to identify test coverage and quality gaps.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily scrums.
Debug and troubleshoot automation failures and provide quick resolutions.
Ensure continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines include automated testing.
Conduct performance and regression testing as needed.
Document test cases, test results, and provide detailed defect reports.

Required Skills
Strong programming skills in Java / Python / C# (choose based on client requirement).
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, or similar.
Experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured, Karate, etc.).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Solid understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and Agile processes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner).
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Previous experience in financial services, retail, or e-commerce domains.
