Full-Time Restaurant Manager
Salary $73,000 to $83,000 plus Superannuation
Summary of Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including floor plan layout and table settings, solving guests’ complaints and employees’ grievances
• Recruitment of service line staff, striving to hire the right candidates and liaising with Human Resources on all recruitment needs and people power requisitions.
• Leading and managing a team to ensure excellence and consistency in the product and service delivered to customers.
• Direct and schedule the activities of restaurant employees
• Ensure that restaurant employees receive guidance and that guests receive prompt, excellent customer service in a professional and friendly manner.
• Ensure that restaurants operate efficiently and profitably while maintaining reputation and ethos.
• Responsible for the business performance of the restaurant as well as maintaining high standards of service.
• Monitor inventory to ensure timely procurement of supplies while maintaining detailed records of stock levels and corresponding financial transactions
• Review and monitor expenditures to ensure they conform to budget limitations and work to improve performance
• Prepare reports monthly for the Monthly Operations Review
• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and dining areas to ensure that all aspects of Health and Safety regulations are met at all times
• Develop improvement processes to improve the service quality of the restaurants and achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction.
• Create a sound and strong working relationship with all staff and help to develop their maximum potential.
• Evaluate operational procedures to identify areas for improvement and provide suggestions accordingly, while promptly escalating any concerns or urgent issues to senior management for immediate attention.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Min. Diploma-level qualifications in Hospitality/Hotel Management or relevant industry qualifications
• Min. 1 year of relevant working experience in a similar capacity in the F&B sector
• An RSA Certificate is desirable
• Approved Manager Certificate/ID Card
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be flexible with days of work, including weekdays and weekends.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Be very well-presented and professional.
• Have excellent customer service and a team-oriented approach.
• Extremely organised and detail-oriented
