About the Role:
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Motorcycle Technician to join their dynamic service team. This role requires a highly motivated professional with a strong mechanical background and a passion for motorcycles. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing motorcycles to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic assessments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of motorcycle makes and models.
- Carry out routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire replacements, and engine tuning.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on motorcycles.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections to ensure motorcycles are in peak condition before customer handover.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and services performed.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
- Use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Work collaboratively with the service team and parts department to streamline operations.
- Uphold workplace safety standards and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
- Provide technical advice and support to customers when needed.
Candidate Requirements:
- Trade qualification in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent certification).
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Motorcycle Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with an in-depth understanding of motorcycle mechanics, electrical systems, and fuel injection technology.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Experience working with major motorcycle brands is highly desirable.
- A current motorcycle license (preferred but not mandatory).
