Operating from a modern 8,600m facility in Cairns, Queensland, they are equipped to handle diverse projects, fabricating approximately 100-150 tonnes of large steel per week.
About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Boilermaker to join their team in Darwin, NT. The successful candidate will oversee boilermaking operations, ensuring high-quality fabrication and welding services, and will play a crucial role in mentoring junior staff and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise boilermaking and welding activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to guide fabrication processes.
- Mentor and train junior boilermakers and apprentices, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to occupational health and safety regulations.
-Assist in planning and allocating resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
Candidate Requirements:
- Trade qualification in boilermaking or fabrication.
- Minimum of 1 years' experience in boilermaking, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
