About the Role:

CSF Industries is seeking qualified Welders to join their team in Portsmith, QLD. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to large-scale steel fabrication projects in a well-equipped and collaborative work environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for welding, assembling, and fabricating steel components, ensuring compliance with strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to guide fabrication and welding tasks.
- Perform structural steel fabrication, including cutting, shaping, and assembling components.
- Conduct MIG, TIG, and Stick welding based on project specifications.
- Inspect finished welds and fabricated components to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements.
- Work with various metals, such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Operate welding and fabrication machinery, including hand tools and power tools.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, maintaining a clean and hazard-free workspace.
- Collaborate with supervisors, project managers, and fellow tradespeople to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.
- Support apprentices and junior team members, fostering their growth and development.
- Candidate Requirements:
- Trade qualification in welding, metal fabrication, or boilermaking.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a welding or steel fabrication role.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding (highly desirable).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality control standards.
- Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.
