Position Summary
The Financial Investment Adviser provides professional financial planning and investment advice to clients based on their financial circumstances, objectives, and risk tolerance.
The role involves analysing clients’ financial positions, identifying suitable investment opportunities, and developing tailored financial and wealth management strategies. The adviser supports clients in implementing these strategies while monitoring investment performance and reviewing plans to ensure they remain aligned with market conditions and evolving client needs.
Working closely with clients and internal advisory teams, the Financial Investment Adviser contributes to delivering effective financial planning services while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct consultations with prospective and existing clients to assess their financial circumstances, investment capacity, and long-term financial objectives
• Analyse clients’ financial information and perform risk profiling assessments to determine appropriate investment strategies and asset allocation
• Develop tailored financial plans and investment strategies designed to achieve clients’ financial goals and wealth management objectives
• Provide professional advice on investment opportunities including shares, bonds, managed funds, and other financial products suitable for clients’ portfolios
• Assist clients with the execution of investment transactions, including arranging the purchase and sale of financial instruments such as stocks and bonds
• Monitor and review client investment portfolios, analysing performance against financial objectives and prevailing market condition
• Review and update financial strategies and investment plans in response to changes in financial markets, regulations, or clients’ personal circumstances
• Advise clients on wealth accumulation strategies, sources of investment funds, and the effective distribution of investment earnings
• Recommend appropriate risk management solutions, including insurance products designed to protect clients’ financial interests
• Provide guidance on retirement planning, taxation considerations, and estate planning strategies where relevant to clients’ financial plans
• Refer clients to different professionals, such as accountants, legal advisers, or other specialists, to support the implementation of financial strategies where required
• Maintain accurate client records, financial advice documentation, and compliance information in accordance with regulatory requirements and professional standards
Qualifications and Skills
• A degree in highly relevant field of study including finance, economics, financial planning, business, or a related discipline
• At least three (3) years of highly relevant professional experience
• Experience in financial advisory or investment services
• Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, portfolio management principles, and financial planning strategies
• Demonstrated ability to analyse financial information and develop practical investment strategies tailored to individual client needs
• Knowledge of risk profiling methodologies and financial modelling techniques used in investment advisory services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to clients from diverse backgrounds
• High level of analytical thinking and attention to detail when reviewing financial data and investment performance
• Ability to build and maintain professional client relationships based on trust, transparency, and sound financial advice
