Full Time Early Childhood Teacher
SALARY $82,000 $85,000 per year + SUPERANNUATION
SUMMARY
We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Learning ladder ELC Epping. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality early childhood education programs in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), supporting children’s learning, wellbeing, and development in a safe and inclusive environment.
DUTIES
The successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
• Planning and structuring learning in both indoor and outdoor environments using a variety of materials and equipment to facilitate students’ development.
• Providing a variety of experiences and activities to develop motor skills, cooperative social skills, confidence, and understanding.
• Promoting language development through storytelling, role play, songs, rhymes, and informal discussions conducted individually and in groups.
• Observing students to evaluate progress and to detect signs of ill health, emotional disturbance, or other developmental concerns.
• Observing nutritional health, welfare, and safety needs of students and identifying factors that may impede students’ progress.
• Discussing students’ progress, development, and wellbeing with parents and guardians.
• Attending parent interviews, staff meetings, and committee meetings as required.
• Participating in community and family support programs where appropriate.
• Supervising student teachers on professional placement.
Essential Requirements
• Approved qualification for Early Childhood Teacher (as per ACECQA requirements)
• VIT
• Sound knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Framework (NQF)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and external stakeholders
• Current Working with Children Check
• First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certifications (or willingness to obtain)

• Experience working in long day care or early learning centre settings
• Experience supervising student teachers
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Understanding of inclusive education practices
