Full Time Construction Project Manager
SALARY $120,000 + Superannuation per year
DUTIES
• Plan, coordinate and deliver residential and commercial restoration and remedial construction projects from initial assessment through to completion, ensuring alignment with client and insurer requirements
• Interpret architectural drawings, scopes of works and technical specifications to determine appropriate repair methodologies and construction approaches
• Coordinate labour resources, subcontractors and trades, and oversee the procurement and timely delivery of materials, plant and equipment to project sites
• Liaise with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, architects, engineers, consultants and trades to ensure project objectives, timelines and quality standards are achieved
• Monitor and control project performance, including timeframes, budgets, quality outcomes and risk, implementing corrective actions where required to maintain delivery targets
• Prepare project cost estimates, assist in tender submissions and evaluate subcontractor quotes in line with project scope and commercial requirements
• Negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to manage variations, resolve issues and ensure efficient project delivery
• Ensure all works comply with relevant building codes, WHS requirements, insurance standards and company quality procedures
• Coordinate project documentation, approvals and compliance processes, including facilitating inspections and ensuring works meet regulatory and contractual obligations
• Supervise subcontractors and site teams, ensuring work is completed to required specifications, safety standards and agreed timelines
• Manage project variations, delays and unforeseen site conditions, maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring minimal disruption to project outcomes
• Develop and maintain project schedules, progress reports and stakeholder updates to ensure transparency and alignment across all project stages
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Construction Management, Building, Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 3 years of relevant experience is essential
• Proven experience coordinating projects, including planning, scheduling, subcontractor management and delivery.
• Ability to interpret drawings, scopes of work and technical specifications.
• Experience in procurement, cost control, and coordinating materials, labour and site resources.
• Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, WHS requirements and relevant regulations.
• Ability to monitor project timelines, budgets, quality and risks.
• Proficiency in MS Project (or similar), AutoCAD (desirable) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to liaise with clients, consultants and site teams.
