Job Title: HGV Mechanic

About the Role
You'll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection, and repair of a fleet of HGV vehicles mainly Volvo, Scania and DAF and trailers. Working alongside an experienced workshop team and reporting to the Lead Mechanic, you'll ensure all vehicles remain compliant, safe, and reliable.

This role is hands-on and suited to a mechanic who is confident in their trade, enjoys problem-solving, and can work independently when required.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday 9.5 hours per day, so 47.5 hours per week plus overtime.
Full-time, permanent position

Key Duties
- Servicing, maintenance, and repairs of HGV trucks and trailers
- Fault finding and diagnostics (mechanical and electrical)
- Ensuring vehicles meet road safety and compliance standards
- Completing job cards and maintenance records accurately
- Supporting the workshop team as needed

Key Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an HGV Mechanic
- Relevant HGV / Heavy Vehicle qualifications Level 3
- Experienced working on HGV trucks and associated equipment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential)
