Purpose of role

This role outlines your responsibilities as a Volunteer Video Creator & Editor at SkilledUp Life. You will bring our stories, narratives, and content to life through engaging, brand-aligned videos. Your work directly supports our marketing efforts by ensuring timely delivery of impactful content that inspires talents, startups, partners, and students. Each video must be finalized and submitted one day before its scheduled publishing time.

Key activities

Create weekly videos for core content series: Startups (Mondays), Talents (Wednesdays), Partners/University Students (Fridays).
Design videos in line with SkilledUp Life’s brand guidelines (M17), ensuring consistent colors, typography, tone, and logo usage.
Maintain the correct formats (1:1 or 9:16), with lengths typically ranging 60 180 seconds depending on the content type.
Apply tailored tones:
Startup Narrative Insightful, honest, reflective
Talent Narrative Energetic, inspiring, achievement-focused
Partner/University Narrative Impact-driven, audience-centric
Include subtitles, royalty-free background music, and clear file naming conventions.
Collaborate with the content scheduling team to align with the Content Calendar (M28).
Upload completed work to Google Drive Repository, link to the calendar, and confirm delivery in Slack/email.
Use video tools (CapCut, InShot, Canva, Play.ht for voiceovers) and maintain workflow through shared drives and sheets.
