Purpose of role

The Learning & Development Volunteer will play a key role in building the foundations of SkilledUp Life’s L&D function. This role involves taking complex and sometimes messy information and turning it into clear, easy-to-follow documentation and guides. The volunteer will design onboarding and training materials for new volunteers, simplify processes to make volunteering intuitive and productive, and collaborate closely with teams to capture technical knowledge . By the end of this experience, you will gain hands-on expertise in creating scalable learning tools, developing structured documentation, and contributing directly to the success of a global volunteer community.

Key activities

Create simple, clear training materials for different teams.
Turn messy or unstructured information into organized documentation.
Map out workflows and build easy-to-follow guides for volunteers.
Collaborate with team leaders to understand their processes and capture essential knowledge.
Design structured onboarding journeys for new volunteers.
Identify the most important areas where training and guidance are needed.
Build scalable processes and learning tools that can be used across the global volunteer network.
