Job Description
Inspect surface preparation (Painting, Insulation, etc.) to ensure compliance with SSPC/NACE/ISO standards.
Verify environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point) prior to and during blasting and painting.
Conduct and witness inspections at various stages such as:
Pre-blasting surface condition
Post-blasting cleanliness and profile
Primer and intermediate coat applications
Final coat application and DFT (Dry Film Thickness) checks
Monitor and verify material certification and batch numbers for paints/coatings.
Ensure proper storage and handling of paint materials.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports, ITPs, checklists, and test records.
Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and follow up on corrective actions.
Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and other departments regarding quality-related issues.
Ensure all work activities comply with HSE procedures.
Requirements:
Education & Certification:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
NACE Level 2 or BGAS-CSWIP Grade 2 Certification
ISO 9001:2015 awareness
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a QC Inspector role for painting & blasting, preferably in oil & gas, shipyard, or heavy industry. Qatar experience is preferred.
Good knowledge of international standards (SSPC, ISO, ASTM, NACE).
