Role overview:

As the Finishing Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing all finishing trades on site, ensuring that works are completed on time, within budget, and to the standards and specifications of the Company. Your role will involve pre-construction preparation, coordinating construction activities, monitoring quality control, and maintaining health and safety standards throughout the project.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Construction:
• Familiarize yourself with the project schedule and program.
• Confirm the availability of long lead time materials.
• Verify the appointment of subcontractors for finishing trades.
• Review drawings and issue lists for accuracy and completeness.
• Confirm any variations orders (V.O.'s) required for the project.
• Coordinate the sequence of units for completion.

Construction:
• Coordinate construction schedules with subcontractors.
• Confirm starting and completion dates for each sub-contractor.
• Ensure that materials are ordered and available on site as per schedule. Confirm Completion date of units
• Do handover from Wet Trade foreman
• Coordinate the sequence of events
• Manage quality control and ensure the proper execution of finishing and complete all necessary checklists on SnagR.
• Check and sign-off Alum Doors and Windows contractor.
• Check and sign-off Tiling contractor.
• Check and sign-off Kitchens / BIC’s contractor.
• Check and sign-off Painter contractor.
• Check and sign-off Electrical contractor.
• Check and sign-off Carpenter contractor.
• Check and sign-off Plumber contractor.
• Check and sign-off Ceilings contractor.
• Check and sign-off Timber Flooring contractor.
• Check and sign-off Balustrading contractor.
• Check and sign-off Cleaning contractor.
• Provide regular progress reports to the Site Agent.
• Review and approve checklists submitted by Contractors.
• Provide daily feedback to the Site Agent regarding project status.
• Provide weekly progress updates to project stakeholders.

Health & Safety:
• Implement safe working procedures on site.
• Ensure that all subcontractors wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Confirm that safety talks are conducted regularly and are up to date with current safety protocols.
