We are looking for a dedicated and organized Science Lab Assistant (Female - Filipino Preferred) to assist Science Teachers in the lab during practical lessons, manage lab preparation, safety, and inventory, Reports to: Science Lab Teacher

Detailed Duties & Responsibilities:

*Lab Preparation & Support to Teacher:
- Prepare all lab equipment, chemicals, specimens, and materials before each class according to teacher's lab plan
- Assist the Science Teacher during lab sessions (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) - distribute tools and guide students
- Help students during experiments and ensure they follow instructions correctly
- Clean and reset the lab after each session for the next class

*Lab Management & Inventory:
- Maintain a complete inventory list of all lab equipment, glassware, chemicals, and specimens
- Label all chemicals and equipment properly with safety and expiry dates
- Check stock weekly and request purchase orders for low / missing items
- Ensure proper storage of chemicals (acids, bases, flammables) according to safety standards
- Maintain lab logbook for daily lab usage, breakage, and chemical consumption

*Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure lab safety rules are followed by all students (lab coats, gloves, goggles)
- Check safety equipment regularly - fire extinguisher, eyewash station, first aid box, fume hood
- Dispose of chemical waste and broken glass safely as per MSDS guidelines
- Report any safety hazards, equipment failure, or accidents immediately to Science HOD
- Prepare safety data sheets and safety posters inside the lab

*Academic & Administrative Support:
- Help teachers prepare worksheets, lab reports, practical exam papers, and science fair projects
- Assist in organizing Science Day, STEM Fair, and other science events
- Help maintain student practical records and lab attendance
- Assist in photocopying, filing, and organizing lab documents
- Supervise students during lab transitions, breaks if needed

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Science (Chemistry / Biology / Physics), Laboratory Technology, or Education
Experience:* Minimum 1-2 years experience as Lab Assistant in a school (American/International school experience preferred)
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of lab equipment, chemical handling, and lab safety procedures
- Familiar with MSDS and lab safety protocols
- Basic computer skills - MS Excel for inventory

- Good English communication skills
- Very organized, detail-oriented, and responsible
- Ability to handle chemicals and equipment safely
- Patient and good with students (Grades 6-12)
