Job Level: Skilled Maintenance Technician
1. Job Purpose
To provide timely, reliable, and safe maintenance support at the Abu Dhabi location and other formally assigned facilities, with particular emphasis on HVAC operation, plumbing, basic MEP maintenance, and general building services.
The position is intended to reduce maintenance response delays and support business continuity through local technical coverage.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Site Maintenance
1. Carry out regular inspections of assigned facility systems.
2. Respond to maintenance requests according to approved priorities.
3. Identify and diagnose equipment and building-service faults.
4. Complete repairs within authorized technical capability.
5. Report major faults requiring specialist assistance.
6. Support the safe restoration of affected facilities.
B. HVAC Maintenance
1. Perform scheduled HVAC inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
2. Identify common cooling-performance problems.
3. Investigate condensate drainage and water-leakage issues.
4. Repair HVAC faults within demonstrated technical competence.
5. Coordinate with central HVAC specialists when necessary.
6. Maintain equipment-specific repair records.
C. Plumbing and MEP Maintenance
1. Repair common plumbing leaks and minor fixture defects.
2. Replace damaged plumbing fittings.
3. Address straightforward drainage issues.
4. Perform basic building MEP maintenance within qualifications and authorization.
5. Assist with inspection of pumps and mechanical facilities.
6. Report defects that require specialized intervention.
D. Site Coordination
1. Coordinate maintenance access with Abu Dhabi site management.
2. Inform the site management team before work that may interrupt operations.
3. Follow technical instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor.
4. Escalate emergencies and major breakdowns promptly.
5. Coordinate technician and contractor visits where instructed.
E. Documentation and Asset Control
1. Record maintenance requests and completed work.
2. Document test results and outstanding issues.
3. Record spare parts and consumables used.
4. Maintain assigned tools and equipment.
5. Report repeated equipment failures.
3. Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma or vocational certificate in HVAC, MEP, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant commercial-building maintenance experience preferred.
• Good HVAC troubleshooting skills.
• Practical plumbing and general maintenance capability.
• Knowledge of basic building electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to respond to site maintenance requirements with limited day-to-day technical supervision.
• Ability to maintain clear maintenance records.

The technician does not have independent purchasing, contracting, or expenditure approval authority.
