A reputable motor dealership in Durban is seeking a qualified and experienced Diagnostic Technician with excellent technical knowledge and strong fault-finding abilities.

The successful candidate must be a trade-tested Motor Mechanic with practical diagnostic experience and the ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding.
• Diagnose mechanical, electronic and electrical system faults.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle problems.
• Carry out repairs according to manufacturer and workshop standards.
• Conduct testing to verify successful repairs.
• Assist with complex technical problems when required.
• Complete job cards and technical reports accurately.
• Maintain high workmanship and workshop safety standards.

Minimum Requirements
• Qualified, trade-tested Motor Mechanic.
• Proven automotive diagnostic experience.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and electronic fault-finding knowledge.
• Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and solve technical problems.
• Good attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's licence preferred.

Remuneration Package
• Basic salary: R18,000 R25,000 per month, negotiable.
• Medical Aid and Pension Fund.
• Incentives.
