About the Role

LONESTAR RIB HOUSE & BREWS, operated by RLS HOSPITALITY PTY LTD, is seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard while assisting with the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and required quality standards.
Ensure food is prepared, presented and served consistently.
Assist with menu updates and contribute ideas for new dishes.
Coordinate and support junior kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
Assist with food preparation, cooking, garnishing and plating.
Monitor food quality, portion sizes and presentation.
Manage kitchen stock and assist with ordering ingredients.
Maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
Ensure appropriate food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards are followed.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
Assist with training and supervision of junior kitchen staff.
Respond to customer feedback and assist with improving kitchen operations.
Work effectively as part of a professional kitchen team.
Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will ideally have:

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent/higher qualification.
At least 1-3 years of full-time relevant experience as a Cook.
Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Strong attention to food quality, presentation and consistency.
