Cook - Full-time
SALARY $75,000 $85,000 + Superannuation

SUMMARY
You need to understand Indian cuisine, especially South Indian, Indo Chinese, Tandoor
and can prepare, season, and cook food in dining and catering establishments for our
Restaurant. You will be passionate about food and a high achiever for products, quality
and services.

Duties & Responsibilities
Your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to
• Food preparation, seasoning and cooking according to the restaurant menu,
recipes and standards.
• All food is prepared to meet quality standards in a timely manner.
• Portioning the food, plating it, presenting with side dishes, chutneys, sambar,
curry as set by the restaurant standards.
• Understanding and demonstration of safety procedures and correct use of
Equipment.
• Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organised workstation.
• Maintaining and following the occupational health and safety standards.
• Maintaining and following the food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Communicating effectively with support staff and management.

Key Selection Criteria, Qualifications & Experience
Experience/ Knowledge
• With relevant formal qualifications, at least one year experience as a cook in a
busy kitchen environment or a min of 3 years of Commercial experience in a
relevant setting.
• Strong knowledge of South Indian flavours and cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy service periods.
• Attention to detail and proven ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Ability to follow instructions and take directions from senior kitchen
staff/management.

What we offer
We offer a competitive remuneration package ($75,000-$85,000 per year) + Super in line
with your experience and qualification.
