Salary: $75,000 $85,000 per year plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience

CHARBHUJA PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team in Dulacca, Queensland. You will prepare and cook meals, maintain consistent food quality and help keep the kitchen safe, clean and organised.

Key Responsibilities

Check ingredients for freshness and quality before preparation.
Prepare, season and cook meals in accordance with menu requirements and quality standards.
Operate ovens, grills and other cooking equipment at appropriate temperatures.
Portion and plate meals, adding sauces and garnishes as required.
Prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements when requested.
Monitor cooking times, food quality and presentation during service.
Store ingredients and prepared food safely, including in temperature-controlled facilities.
Assist with estimating ingredient requirements and monitoring stock levels.
Minimise food waste and maintain clean, organised preparation and cooking areas.
Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
Assist and guide other kitchen staff when required.
Qualifications and Experience

1 3 years of relevant experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
A Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, or an equivalent qualification, will be highly regarded.
Relevant commercial kitchen experience will also be considered.
Strong food preparation and cooking skills.
Knowledge of safe food handling, hygiene and temperature control.
Ability to maintain consistent food quality during busy service periods.
Good organisation and communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Availability to work weekends and public holidays when required.
