Position Title: Full-time Trade Waiter (Front of house attendant)
Annual Salary: A$ 79,499 + Superannuation
Introduction:
A large company in Nagambie is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, customer focused, and reliable full-time Front of house attendant for an immediate start.
Duties:
• Welcome, seat, and attend to guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Present menus, explain daily specials, and assist guests with food and beverage choices.
• Take accurate orders and ensure timely service of meals and drinks.
• Provide professional wine service, including recommendations, pouring, and matching with menu items.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve service issues.
• Demonstrate detailed knowledge of menu items, preparation methods, and dietary considerations.
• Maintain current knowledge of promotions, specials, and seasonal menus.
• Prepare and set tables according to service requirements.
• Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently.
• Process payments using the point of sale (POS) system.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and restocking.
• Serve alcohol responsibly in line with the RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) requirements.
• Follow food handling, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas, cutlery, glassware, and dining equipment.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, kitchen, and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
• Assist in training and guiding junior waitstaff or food & beverage attendants.
• Support supervisors in busy service periods and events.
Skills and Experience:
• Minimum a relevant qualification in Hospitality or a related field (A Bachelor's degree in Hotel, Hospitality, or Restaurant Management is highly desirable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Waiter/Waitress is required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Professional presentation and a positive attitude at all times.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service, including taking orders and serving customers accurately.
• A strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front of house staff.
