## Telehealth Physician Remote
A **Telehealth Physician** provides medical care to patients remotely through video, telephone, or other virtual platforms. The physician evaluates patient symptoms, diagnoses conditions, develops treatment plans, prescribes medications when appropriate, and provides follow-up care while maintaining appropriate documentation and regulatory compliance.
### Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual patient consultations and comprehensive medical assessments.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Review medical histories, medications, symptoms, and available clinical records.
- Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests when clinically appropriate.
- Educate patients about diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive care.
- Recognize urgent or complex conditions requiring in-person evaluation or emergency care.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists, primary-care providers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
- Follow evidence-based clinical guidelines, telehealth standards, HIPAA requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality, safety, and continuity of care.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while working independently in a remote environment.
### Qualifications
- Active **MD or DO medical license** and eligibility to practice in applicable states.
- Board certification or eligibility in the relevant specialty, typically Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
- Clinical experience in primary care, urgent care, or a related specialty.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and communication skills.
- Comfortable using telehealth platforms, electronic health records, and digital healthcare technology.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of patient safety and documentation.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, telemedicine regulations, and applicable prescribing requirements.
