Accountant Full Time
SALARY $90,000 - $95,000 + SUPERANNUATION

SUMMARY
PLB Australasia Pty Ltd is a growing innovative company that designs and manufactures systems and components for in-furrow application of liquid fertilisers, soil improvers and crop care products. It is the recognised market leader in Australia and is developing export markets in North and South America, Central Asia and Europe.

DUTIES
Reporting to the general manager, the person taking on this role will have the scope to improve accounting and finance operations across the business with respect to accuracy, efficiency and providing useful financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities will cover:
• Preparation of financial reports across multiple entities, including consolidated reporting across the group, covering P&L, Balance Sheet and other performance indicators.
• Oversee implementation, configuration and use of accounting information systems, primarily Netsuite ERP, including custom reporting functionality, automation of accounting processes, KPI monitoring and integration of source systems.
• Take ownership of general ledger structure and business rules for transaction classification and account allocation to ensure utility of reporting to management and external stakeholders and compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee accounting policies and processes and review financial data to ensure accurate and appropriate account allocation, tidy and timely month-end close and compliance with accounting standards.
• Develop and maintain internal control frameworks in relation to financial, accounting operations and governance.
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports for management in relation to cashflow, profitability, projects, budgets and forecasts.
• Take ownership of compliance across the group, ensuring all statutory and contractual reporting and record keeping obligations are met.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• At a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Have sound financial accounting fundamentals
• Proficiency with Netsuite ERP accounting system
• Experience in accounting across multiple entities, including consolidated reporting.
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting involving multiple currencies.
• Accounting experience within a manufacturing business with demonstrated understanding of accounting across all business operations.

Must be fluent in written and spoken English
