Salary: $80,000 $90,000 + Superannuation

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our growing kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional who takes pride in preparing high-quality food, maintaining kitchen excellence, and contributing to a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

As our Chef, you will be responsible for:

Preparing and cooking menu items to consistently high standards.
Planning, reviewing, and updating menus to ensure variety, quality, seasonal appeal, and cost-effectiveness.
Supervising and coordinating junior kitchen staff during food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and plating.
Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Assisting with the recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management of kitchen staff.
Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety, and kitchen security standards.
Monitoring food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
Responding to customer feedback and implementing improvements where appropriate.
Identifying opportunities to improve kitchen operations, menu offerings, and overall dining experience.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
Skills & Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

A Diploma in Culinary Arts, Commercial Cookery, or a related culinary qualification (or a higher qualification).
At least one year of full-time experience working as a Chef.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
A commitment to delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer experiences.
