• Location: Whittle-le-Woods, Chorley
• Pay Rate: 13.00 - 13.50 per hour (depending on experience) + holiday pay
• Hours: Monday to Friday, typically working between 9:00am 4:00pm
• Contract: Temporary ongoing assignment with immediate starts available
• Pay: Weekly

NW Recruitment Services Ltd are supporting a well-established and growing business based in Whittle-le-Woods, Chorley, who are currently expanding their operations following the development of a brand-new showroom.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly team in a varied, hands-on role combining product assembly, showroom preparation and local van driving duties. The successful candidate will assemble showroom display products, assist with the preparation and presentation of the showroom, complete local deliveries and collections, and support the day-to-day warehouse operation.
The role
• Working as part of the assembly and warehouse team, your duties will include:
• Assembling a variety of household and showroom display products.
• Building flat-pack furniture and other display items.
• Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Following assembly instructions and quality standards.
• Inspecting completed items to ensure a high standard of finish.
• Assisting with the preparation and presentation of a showroom displaying a product range of over 700 items.
• Loading, unloading and transporting products safely using the company van.
• Completing local deliveries and collections to customers, suppliers and other business locations.
• Moving assembled products between the warehouse, showroom and storage areas.
• Supporting general warehouse duties including stock movements and housekeeping.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Providing professional customer service when representing the business during deliveries and collections.
We're looking for someone who:
• Holds a full, clean UK driving licence.
• Is aged 25 or over, as required by the company's vehicle insurance policy.
• Has previous experience driving a long wheelbase van (preferred but not essential).
• Has previous assembly, production, manufacturing or warehouse experience (preferred but not essential).
• Is confident using hand tools and power tools.
• Has good practical skills and strong attention to detail.
• Is physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
• Can work independently as well as part of a team.
• Is reliable, punctual and has a positive attitude.
• Has good communication skills and is comfortable representing the business when making deliveries.
• Has their own transport or reliable means of travelling to Whittle-le-Woods, as public transport options are limited.
