Job Description
Seeking a highly skilled Lead Carpenter to join our team based out of Salmon Arm, BC. This is a full-time, permanent position offering year-round work, competitive wages and the opportunity to contribute to high-quality residential and commercial projects.
We are looking for an experienced carpenter who can lead job sites, coordinate tasks and deliver exceptional workmanship while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
-lead and coordinate carpentry work on residential and commercial job sites
-read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications
-perform framing, finishing, installations and general carpentry tasks
-oversee site safety, workflow and quality control
-work collaboratively with electricians, apprentices, all others on site
-ensure projects are completed on schedule and to company standards
-communicate effectively with clients, supervisors and team members
-maintain tools, equipment and a clean, safe work environment
Required Qualifications
-minimum 3-5 years of carpentry experience
-strong proficiency in framing, finishing and general construction
-ability to lead job sites and direct team members
-ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
-strong understanding of building codes and safe work practices
-physically capable of performing all carpentry duties
(lifting, climbing, standing for extended periods)
-valid class 5 driver's license
-reliable transportation to job sites in the Salmon Arm/Okanagan region
-ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-professional communication and problem-solving skills
