Employment Type: Permanent Full-time
Annual Remuneration: $80,000 to $87,000 plus superannuation.
Boddington Supermarket Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Retail Manager (Liquor) to oversee the day-to-day operations of our liquor retail store.
This is a hands-on management role suited to someone with strong retail experience, sound liquor industry knowledge, and the ability to lead a team in a busy customer-facing environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high standards across customer service, stock control, compliance, staff supervision, merchandising, and store presentation.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the daily operations of the liquor store.
• Develop and implement budgets, revenue and sales targets
• Monitor stock levels, ordering, receiving, and stock rotation.
• Maintain store presentation, pricing, and promotional displays.
• Plan marketing and advertising initiatives
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing requirements and Responsible Service of Alcohol obligations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised retail environment.
• Supervise, train, and support retail staff.
Required Skills and Experience
• At least 1 year of full-time experience, or part-time equivalent experience, in retail, liquor retail, supermarket, convenience retail, or a similar customer-facing retail environment.
• Previous experience in retail management, preferably in liquor, supermarket, or convenience retail.
• Strong understanding of liquor retail operations.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol certification, or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to provide at least one relevant industry reference from a previous employer, manager, supervisor, or senior colleague.
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage stock accurately.
• Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours as required.
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards.
