Job description
We are looking for a talented and passionate Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes to our customers. You will understand flavours and cooking techniques, both authentic and modern. Your role will be to create signature dishes to complement our amazing venue and oversee kitchen operations such as quality control, stock order, and staff training.
These full-time roles are based in Norwest, NSW with a salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation. The minimum requirement is Certificate IV in a Culinary field, or higher, and industry experience.
The main duties are as follows:
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu requirements, recipes, and customer expectations.
• Ensure all meals are prepared with consistent quality, flavour, presentation, and portion control.
• Assist with menu planning, development of new dishes, and preparation of daily specials.
• Follow food preparation procedures and cooking techniques to maintain high standards.
• Check the quality, freshness, and condition of ingredients before use.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies while maintaining effective stock control.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment always.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Monitor food preparation processes and ensure meals are delivered on time during service periods.
• Assist in managing kitchen operations, including coordinating with other kitchen staff.
• Train and support junior kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking methods, and hygiene practices.
• Inspect kitchen equipment and report any issues affecting food preparation or safety.
• Minimise food wastage through effective preparation, storage, and stock rotation practices.
• Maintain knowledge of current food trends and contribute ideas for improving menu offerings.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to provide a high-quality dining experience for customers.

Successful candidates will be on an annual salary of $80,000 to $90,000 Plus Superannuation.
