Ethos Pinnacle Ltd is a UK-based professional services firm delivering management consulting, education and training, and IT/data consulting. We work with charities, SMEs and startups, public sector teams, and educational institutions helping them run well, grow responsibly, and deliver outcomes they can evidence with confidence.
We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Business Development Executive to join our team and play a key role in growing our client base across our three service lines.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities across target markets including charities, SMEs, public sector teams, and educational institutions
Generate and qualify leads through outbound outreach, networking, referrals, and sector-specific channels
Develop and deliver compelling pitches, proposals, and presentations tailored to prospective clients
Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to contract closure
Meet and exceed individual and team revenue targets and KPIs on a consistent basis
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients across our consulting, training, and IT/data service lines
Act as a trusted point of contact, understanding each client's operational challenges, compliance pressures, and strategic priorities
Conduct regular client check-ins and reviews to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities
Respond promptly and professionally to client enquiries, ensuring a high standard of service at all times
Represent Ethos Pinnacle Ltd with professionalism and integrity in all client-facing interactions
Market Research & Strategy
Monitor trends, regulatory developments, and procurement activity across our core sectors to inform business development strategy
Contribute to the development of sales strategies and go-to-market plans across our three service lines
Provide regular pipeline reports and forecasts to management, including commentary on key opportunities
Identify partnership opportunities with sector bodies and complementary service providers
Share market intelligence and client feedback with internal teams to support continuous improvement
Proposals, Reporting & Administration
Prepare accurate and professional proposals, quotes, and service documentation tailored to each client's context
Maintain up-to-date records of all sales activity, client interactions, and pipeline status within the CRM system
Produce weekly and monthly reports on sales performance and revenue forecasts for senior leadership
Ensure all documentation and communications comply with company standards and applicable regulations
Support the wider team with administrative tasks related to new client onboarding as required
Collaboration & Internal Engagement
Work closely with consulting, training, and IT/data teams to align business development activity with delivery capacity and service quality
Participate in team meetings, sales briefings, and strategy sessions, contributing pipeline updates and sector insight
Support smooth client handovers to relevant internal delivery teams
Share best practices, successful approaches, and lessons learned across the team
Contribute to a positive, high-performance culture that reflects the values and professional standards of Ethos Pinnacle Ltd
Person Specification
Essential
Minimum 2 years' experience in a business development, sales, or account management role
Demonstrated ability to identify and convert new business opportunities and consistently meet targets
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage credibly at senior levels
Confident in developing and delivering proposals and presentations to prospective clients
Experience managing a sales pipeline and working within a CRM system
Commercially aware with a sound understanding of consultative, solution-based selling
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously
Self-motivated, resilient, and results-driven with a proactive approach to new business
Right to work in the United Kingdom
Desirable
Relevant degree or professional qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Experience selling into or working within the charity, public sector, education, or SME sectors
Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent
Experience preparing tenders, framework bids, or formal proposals
Understanding of management consulting, organisational performance, compliance, or data and reporting services
Experience working within a growing or entrepreneurial professional services business
Terms & Conditions
Salary: 32,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Holiday: 28 days per annum including bank holidays
Pension: Auto-enrolment in accordance with statutory requirements
Notice Period: One month (following probationary period)
Probationary Period: Six month
