Full Time Venue Manager Canberra
Grand Pacific Group (GPG) is a leading hospitality group that has maintained a strong brand identity synonymous with sophistication, elegance and luxury over its 20 years of operation. We are looking for a highly experienced Venue manager in charge of our premium dining establishment in Canberra.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading and developing a high-performing team, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the venue. You will play a key role in driving service excellence, maintaining compliance standards, and achieving strong commercial outcomes while upholding the reputation of our establishment as a premier hospitality destination.
Role and Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee all front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and premium service standards.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and service excellence.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and service standards to support business objectives and continuous improvement.
• Drive commercial performance through effective management of labour costs, inventory, revenue, profitability, and other key performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee workforce planning, rostering, performance management, and staff development.
• Maintain the venue to the highest operational, presentation, and cleanliness standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with senior management to support the strategic growth and success of the business.
Required Skills:
• Proven 4-6 years of experience in a senior hospitality management role within a premium restaurant, bar, or hospitality venue.
• Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing budgets, labour costs, inventory, and profitability targets.
