Building Associate
(Contracted as Site Supervisor) Full-time
SALARY $88,000 + Superannuation per year
DUTIES
• Assist in planning, coordinating and monitoring residential construction projects, including new homes, duplexes, granny flats, renovations and extensions.
• Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, building codes and construction standards to support the accurate execution of building works.
• Coordinate daily site activities by scheduling subcontractors, trades, materials and equipment to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Inspect construction work and building materials to ensure compliance with approved plans, quality standards, the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards.
• Monitor construction progress, identify and resolve on-site issues, and report project status, timelines and quality outcomes to management.
• Estimate material quantities, assist in preparing quotations and monitor material usage to support cost-effective project delivery.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, certifiers and other stakeholders to coordinate construction activities and resolve site-related matters.
• Conduct routine site inspections to ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in coordinating project schedules, monitoring construction timelines and supporting the timely completion of projects within budget.
• Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, progress documentation and project-related correspondence throughout all stages of construction.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Associate Degree, Diploma or higher qualification in Building, Construction Management, Civil Construction, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 1 years' relevant experience in residential construction, site supervision or building coordination.
• Sound knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, construction plans and specifications.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Current White Card is essential. A current Australian driver's licence is highly desirable.
