About the Role

SS Creative Solutions UK Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Broadcast Engineer to support its growing operations in satellite broadcasting, OTT streaming, media processing, and content delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of broadcast and transmission systems, ensuring reliable service delivery to clients across the broadcasting and media sector.

This role requires a technically capable individual with experience in broadcast infrastructure, signal flow, media systems, and transmission environments, together with the ability to respond effectively to operational and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, operate, and maintain broadcast and transmission equipment.
Monitor and support broadcast systems, satellite links, streaming platforms, and content delivery services.
Diagnose and resolve technical faults affecting broadcast, playout, contribution, distribution, or streaming services.
Support the setup, testing, and maintenance of media processing and signal transmission workflows.
Work with video, audio, encoding, decoding, multiplexing, and signal distribution systems.
Ensure the continuity, reliability, and quality of broadcast services.
Conduct routine system checks, preventive maintenance, and performance monitoring.
Assist with system upgrades, integration of new equipment, and technical deployments.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams on technical matters and service requirements.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, technical changes, maintenance activity, and system configurations.
Provide technical support in relation to IP-based broadcast systems, contribution feeds, OTT workflows, and content delivery platforms.
Support compliance with operational, technical, and health and safety standards.
Essential Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a Broadcast Engineer or similar technical broadcast role.
Knowledge of broadcast operations, transmission systems, and media delivery workflows.
Experience with broadcast equipment, signal routing, encoding/decoding systems, and video/audio processing.
Understanding of satellite broadcasting, IP-based delivery, OTT streaming, and content distribution environments.
Ability to troubleshoot technical faults efficiently and work under pressure in a live or operational environment.
Knowledge of broadcast signal standards, quality control, and service continuity procedures.
Good understanding of network infrastructure relevant to media and broadcast systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Desirable Skills
Experience working with television broadcasters, media companies, or content delivery providers.
Familiarity with Linux, Windows Server, or network-based broadcast environments.
Knowledge of multicast, SRT, MPEG-TS, DVB, OTT workflows, and related broadcast protocols.
Experience in system commissioning, technical project implementation, or client onboarding.
Relevant engineering or broadcast technology qualifications.
