Weston Ford is expanding its high-energy service department! We are seeking four (4) skilled, dependable Automotive Mechanics who thrive in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will diagnose, service, and repair everything from standard passenger vehicles to commercial transport trucks and trailers. If you have sharp troubleshooting skills, excellent manual dexterity, and a dedication to quality work, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Testing: Perform mechanical inspections, run diagnostic tests on intricate automotive systems, and conduct road trials to isolate and identify issues.
Repairs & Precision Maintenance: Tune, rebuild, or replace parts across automotive, commercial transport, and fleet truck-trailer systems in strict alignment with manufacturer standards.
Routine Servicing: Handle preventative maintenance routines and optimize completed repairs to guarantee top-tier safety and vehicle performance.
Clear Communication: Interpret work orders, partner with shop foremen to plan repair strategies, and maintain precise, detailed service logs.
Customer Care: Walk clients through completed repairs and offer professional guidance on future maintenance needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: A recognized trade certificate, diploma, or equivalent credential in automotive mechanics technology.
Experience: 5 years of professional, hands-on automotive service experience.
Credentials: Valid Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification and/or an Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate.
Screening: Must successfully pass a criminal background check and provide a clean driving record abstract.
Licensing & Gear: Valid driver’s license, a personal set of professional tools, and steel-toed safety boots.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
A bustling, high-volume garage environment requiring sharp focus and strong hand-eye coordination.
Physical stamina to stand for long intervals and perform manual labor requiring high dexterity.
