Job Description

The purpose of this consultancy is to generate comprehensive market intelligence and strategic commercialization recommendations to support the sustainable development of seaweed-derived bioinputs, particularly biofertilizers and biostimulants, produced under the AECID-funded project.
The consultancy shall assess the commercial viability, competitiveness, and scalability of seaweed-derived bioinputs in both domestic and international markets by examining market demand, customer preferences, competing products, pricing structures, distribution systems, regulatory requirements, certification processes, and investment opportunities. The study shall identify priority markets and strategic business opportunities that will enable producer organizations and women-led enterprises to transition from pilot-scale production toward commercially viable and financially sustainable enterprises.
The consultancy shall also provide evidence-based recommendations on market entry strategies, product positioning, business partnerships, investment requirements, and commercialization pathways that will strengthen the competitiveness of the Hinatuan Seaweed Producers Cooperative (HISFA-CO) and other project-supported enterprises beyond the project implementation period.
