The Data Capturer is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining various types of data within the company's information systems. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities
• Accurately enter data from source documents into relevant databases, spreadsheets, or systems.
• Review and verify data for completeness, correctness, and compliance with established standards.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in information and obtain further information for incomplete documents.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all company data.
• Assist in preparing regular reports and summaries as directed by management.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure data consistency and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Matric certificate or equivalent; additional qualifications in data processing or administration will be an advantage.
• Maximo or GSI knowledge will be advantage.
• Understanding of serialization.
• Proven experience in data entry, data capture, or a related administrative role.
• Excellent report writing, presentation skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data management systems.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
