Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:-

 

End-to-end fulfillment: warehouse receiving, put-away, picking, packing, last-mile delivery and reverse logistics. Heavy operational focus in regional centers and hubs.

Network planning: designing and right-sizing DCs (distribution centers), sortation centers and delivery clusters to meet SLAs and cost targets.

Inventory management & replenishment: SKU-level forecasting, safety-stock policies, replenishment cadence for marketplace sellers and Flipkart’s inventory.

Transportation & logistics: route optimization, carrier management, SLAs, cost-to-serve analysis, and orchestration of multi-modal transport.

Technology & automation: integrating WMS/TMS, building automation use-cases (conveyors, sorters, robots), and working with data engineering/ML teams for optimisation.

Supplier & partner management: onboarding sellers, managing vendor SLAs, reverse logistics partners and 3PL relationships.

Performance & analytics: setting KPIs (OTIF, SLA compliance, lead time, fill rate, cost per order), root-cause analysis and continuous improvement programs.

Operations roles: start/end-of-shift reviews, KPI dashboards, exception handling, crew rostering, on-floor problem solving, vendor coordination, New fulfilment models (dark stores, hyperlocal), cost reduction pilots.

Planning/analytics roles: running demand forecasts, replenishment runs, simulation of network changes, presenting weekly business reviews.

Skills and tools valued

Technical: Familiarity with WMS/TMS platforms for ops roles.

Analytical: strong comfort with metrics, A/B testing, root-cause frameworks and modelling.

Operational: SOP design, kaizen/lean methodologies, workforce planning, safety & compliance knowledge.

Soft skills: stakeholder management, structured communication, ability to act decisively under ambiguity.

Tools: BI tools (Tableau/Looker/Power BI), supply chain planning suites, Google Cloud/AWS exposure beneficial.
