Location: 5/11 Davies Road, Padstow NSW 2211
Salary: $79,800 Per Annum + Superannuation

Company Overview
ME Group Australia is revolutionizing proximity retail through innovative, sustainable self-service technologies. Operating a fast-growing nationwide footprint of high-tech kiosks including Photo.ME biometric photobooths, Wash.ME commercial laundromats, Feed.ME juice extractors, and Charge.ME emergency electronics vending machines, we make daily life easier for consumers through uncompromised convenience. To maintain our industry-leading technology, we are seeking a qualified Technical Manager to oversee the structural, electrical, and mechanical integrity of our fleet.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively monitor fleet health using digital telemetry systems, diagnostic tools, and error logs to identify operational issues. Perform precision mechanical, electrical, and electronic fault finding to resolve system errors and ensure maximum machine uptime.
- Manage inventory levels and perform routine, site-by-site replenishment of all necessary operational materials, stock, and device consumables across the assigned machine network.
- Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance routines, deep internal and external asset cleaning, and systemic hygiene checks to prolong equipment lifespans and ensure a premium consumer experience.
- Disassemble faulty units to remove damaged or worn mechanical components, structural parts, or complex electronic circuitry. Install high-precision OEM replacement parts and reassemble subassemblies safely to fully restore machine functionality.
- Ensure all consumer-facing promotional materials, digital screen displays, price metrics, user instructions, and localized service signage are kept clear, accurate, and completely up to date.
- Routinely calibrate, test, and fine-tune critical internal parameters such as camera imaging sensors, mechanical delivery speeds, automated liquid pumps, and payment terminal configurations to guarantee the highest standard of delivered service quality.
- Prepare and submit detailed technical reports, field incident data, mechanical performance feedback, and commercial fleet updates directly to regional management and technical directors.
- Coordinate seamless operational transitions with outgoing and incoming field technicians, cross-referencing completed work logs, aligning outstanding maintenance tickets, and meticulously reconciling tool tracking and administrative cash reimbursements.
- Utilize company software, tracking tools, and analytics reports to monitor and execute daily route schedules efficiently. Proactively consult with the team leader or regional manager to coordinate emergency technical overrides in unforeseen field situations.
- Provide hands-on technical intervention and mechanical support during the decommissioning, physical removal, logistics transport, and structural installation of machine units at management’s direct request.
- Act as a professional brand ambassador on the field, identifying commercial expansion opportunities, engaging with site hosts, and promoting or renewing critical commercial maintenance contracts to protect company territory.
- Maintain total oversight of local storage hubs, logistics platforms, and regional depots. Ensure precise physical inventory tracking, handle incoming equipment deliveries, and maintain clean, organized, and compliant storage spaces.
- Safely execute weekly cash collection and transit protocols from local machines to designated counting facilities in strict compliance with current corporate procedures. Take absolute accountability for the security and integrity of high-value funds during daily operations and while in transit inside the field vehicle.
- Act as a responsible custodian for all high-value corporate assets assigned to the role, including the company service vehicle, specialized mechanical tools, field smartphones, and corporate fuel cards, ensuring everything is kept safe, operational, and well-maintained.

Qualifications
- Relevant work experience (minimum 3 years) or trade qualification in mechanical systems (business machines), electrotechnology, or relevant other qualification (at diploma level or higher).

Experience and Skills

- A minimum of 1 year of recent hands-on experience dealing with precision machinery mechanics, hydraulics, component structural repairs, or complex electrical assembly.
- Previous experience troubleshooting and maintaining automated vending networks, heavy industrial assets, or precision engineering equipment is highly valued.
- An analytical mindset with proven technical reporting abilities, strong operational autonomy, and the professional maturity to confidently handle cash collections and high-value corporate field assets.
