About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Signwriter to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, producing and installing signage, vehicle graphics, decals, vinyl wraps, paint protection films and related automotive film products.
This role is suitable for a hands-on tradesperson with strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail and practical experience in signage production, vehicle graphics or automotive film installation.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be required to:
• Prepare, produce and install commercial signage, vehicle graphics, decals and advertising materials;
• Apply vinyl wraps, window tinting films and paint protection films to vehicles and other approved surfaces;
• Read and interpret design layouts, measurements, templates, technical drawings and customer requirements;
• Prepare surfaces for application, including cleaning, degreasing, masking, measuring, aligning and trimming;
• Operate signage and installation equipment, including cutters, printers, laminators, heat guns, squeegees and hand tools;
• Measure, cut, apply and finish signage and film products to a high commercial standard;
• Carry out workshop-based and onsite installation work at approved client or project locations;
• Inspect completed work to ensure finish quality, alignment, colour accuracy and compliance with job specifications;
• Assist with minor repairs, re-application, maintenance and replacement of signage, decals, wraps or film products;
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements;
• Coordinate with management, team members and customers to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time.
Skills and Experience Required
Applicants should have:
• At least three years of relevant experience in signwriting, signage production, vehicle graphics, vinyl wrapping, window tinting, paint protection film installation or a closely related field;
• Practical experience using signage materials, vinyl films, decals, tinting films, protective films and related installation tools;
• Ability to read and interpret design files, measurements, templates and technical drawings;
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail;
• Ability to complete precise cutting, alignment, application and finishing work;
• Good knowledge of signage, wrapping, tinting and automotive film installation techniques;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team;
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality control and customer service.
