FULL TIME
(MC) Truck Driver Linehaul work
SALARY + SUPERANNUATION
$80,000 - $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
SUMMARY
Kingpin Haulage Transport is seeking a full-time Multi Combination (MC) Truck Driver to undertake linehaul work across the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The role involves operating heavy combination vehicles requiring a specially endorsed class of licence to transport freight safely and efficiently over long distances.
DUTIES
• Drive MC-class heavy vehicles, including linehaul freight transport throughout the Pilbara region.
• Manoeuvre vehicles into position for loading and unloading.
• Load and unload vehicles using appropriate lifting, tipping, and freight-handling equipment where required.
• Observe and comply with all safety requirements when loading, unloading, transporting, and securing goods.
• Conduct regular pre-start, in-transit, and post-trip quality and safety checks to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and can be driven safely.
• Estimate load weights to comply with load limitations and ensure safe distribution of weight across the vehicle combination.
• Ensure goods are correctly stowed, restrained, and securely covered to prevent loss, damage, or movement during transport.
• Verify loading documents, consignment notes, delivery dockets, and other transport documentation.
• Check the condition of goods at pickup and delivery points and report discrepancies or damage promptly.
• Obtain delivery confirmation, certification, and signatures where required.
• Operate manual trucks safely and competently across long-distance and regional routes.
• Comply with fatigue management, chain of responsibility, road transport, workplace health and safety, and company policies.
• Report vehicle faults, hazards, incidents, delays, and maintenance requirements promptly.
• Must be available to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible rosters as required by operational needs.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Valid Australian Multi Combination (MC) driver licence.
• Demonstrated experience operating heavy combination vehicles.
• Experience driving manual trucks.
• Valid driver medical assessment confirming fitness to operate heavy vehicles.
• Knowledge of load restraint, road transport safety, and fatigue management requirements.
• Ability to work in regional and remote operating conditions, including the Pilbara region.
• Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and rostered shifts as required.
