About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team as a Deputy Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to take the next step in their leadership career within a supportive and person-centred care environment.
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical care, regulatory compliance, and effective leadership of the nursing and care teams.
Working Pattern
2 x 11-hour Nurse Shifts
2 x 8.5-hour Supernumerary Shifts
39 hours per week
Day shifts
Includes some weekend working on a rota basis
Key Responsibilities
Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day operation of the service.
Lead, motivate, and develop nursing and care teams to deliver outstanding care.
Ensure residents receive safe, effective, and person-centred care.
Conduct clinical assessments, care planning, and risk management.
Monitor and maintain compliance with CQC standards and company policies.
Manage medication administration and clinical governance processes.
Participate in staff supervision, training, recruitment, and performance management.
Support audits, quality assurance activities, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Act as the Manager's deputy in their absence.
RequirementsEssential
Valid NMC Registration (RMN) with no restrictions.
Previous experience working in a mental health, nursing home, or similar care setting.
Strong clinical knowledge and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to lead by example and support a positive team culture.
Desirable
Previous experience in a Senior Nurse, Clinical Lead, Unit Manager, or Deputy Manager role.
Knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience managing staff performance and clinical governance processes.
