$77,000 - $80,000 p.a, exclusive of superannuation

We are a modern Italian restaurant and wine bar, located in Gordon NSW. Armed with a woodfired pizza oven and our head chef, being Francesco Lervolino from Naples itself (who has worked at some of Sydney’s finest Italian restaurants including Ormeggio and Firedoor), we’re proud to be one of the North Shore’s neighbourhood favourites.

We’re excited to keep improving our processes and refining our menus to offer our customers mouth-watering culinary experiences as well as vibrant environments they will find themselves wanting to come back to.

To ensure we manage the increased demand we have with our extended business hours and consequently, continuously provide premium service to our loyal and new customers, we’re currently on the hunt for highly experienced and motivated Chefs to join our team. This full-time position is critical, working closely with our head chef and sous chef to develop and deliver top quality menus to cater for our clientele base. Our venue operates at high volume, so it is imperative that our Chefs have the skills and experience needed to be able to maintain standards while working in a busy kitchen.

As our Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for the following duties including but not limited to:
• Ensure the smooth running of dedicated section (which could include our antipasti, small plates and desserts), which involves preparing, cooking and plating of dishes within your section
• Maintain quality & service standards
• Order food supplies for the dedicated section
• Train kitchen staff in similar or lower positions
• Prepare, cook, garnish and present foods in an adequate manner as per directions from head chef
• Collaborate with other chefs to plan and develop recipes and menus, taking into account factors such as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers
• Step in other sections when it is not being covered/ when the need arises such as with the preparation and cooking of pastas
• Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met
• Safety, security & hygiene systems management including inspecting supplies, equipment and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards & monitoring sanitation practices to ensure that standards and regulations are met by team members, promoting and practicing safe work habits consistently.

Required Skills:
• A relevant diploma level qualification or suitable work experience
• General cooking and preparation knowledge
• Minimum 1 year work experience as a Chef in a restaurant of café, preferably in busy environment
• Adequate knowledge of OH&S and food safety standards
• Friendly attitude and good work ethic.
