Position Title: Retail Manager
$78,000 to $80,000 plus super per year
Employment Type: Full-Time (38 hours per week)
The position is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the business, ensuring efficient service delivery, profitability, EPA compliance, Council compliance and customer satisfaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the daily operations of the business and oversee all operational activities.
• Monitor inventory levels of both wet and dry stock as well as coordinate the ordering and purchasing of stock to ensure adequate supply.
• Develop and implement marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to increase sales and customer engagement.
• Review and set pricing strategies in line with market conditions and business objectives.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and resolve customer enquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements, sales transactions, and financial performance.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage operational budgets and expenditure.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff to achieve business objectives.
• Develop staff rosters and manage workforce performance.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company policies, and relevant legislation.
• Monitor business performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure operational requirements are met.
Qualifications
• AQF Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Management, Retail Management or a related field
Skills
• Strong leadership and staff supervision skills.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in inventory management, stock control and purchasing.
• Ability to manage daily business operations and achieve operational targets.
• Sound organisational, problem-solving and time management skills.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Work Experience
• At least one year of relevant experience in retail operations, customer service management, inventory control, warehouse operations or a similar supervisory role.
• Experience in staff supervision, stock management and day-to-day operational activities.
• Previous experience in a retail, service station, convenience store or warehouse environment will be highly regarded.
