SAP Consultant (ICT Business Analyst)

Salary $100,000 + Superannuation

Overview
The SAP Consultant (ICT Business Analyst) supports Unistrut Australia Pty Ltd trading as Atkore International by analysing business processes, documenting system requirements, and supporting the delivery of ICT solutions across the company’s manufacturing, distribution, logistics, sales, finance, inventory, customer service, and infrastructure product operations.

The role involves working with users, managers, ICT teams, system developers, vendors, and other stakeholders to identify business needs, improve system functionality, support ERP/SAP and business applications, and ensure system solutions are properly specified, tested, implemented, and adopted by the business.

Key Responsibilities
• Work with users and stakeholders to formulate, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
• Identify, investigate, and analyse business processes, procedures, workflows, work practices, and system issues across sales, procurement, inventory, logistics, finance, manufacturing, distribution, and reporting functions.
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend improved business practices, system functionality, reporting processes, automation opportunities, and operational improvements.
• Prepare business requirements documents, functional specifications, process maps, workflow diagrams, data requirements, and system documentation for ICT teams, developers, vendors, and business users.
• Use data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specifications for the design, development, configuration, testing, and implementation of system software and business applications.
• Support ERP/SAP, reporting, integration, process improvement, and business systems projects by assisting with project planning, costing, resourcing, scheduling, testing, and implementation activities.
• Develop and implement system test plans, coordinate user acceptance testing, validate system outputs, track issues, and support the deployment of functional solutions.
• Liaise with internal users, management, system developers, vendors, and consultants to clarify requirements, resolve system issues, and support project decision-making.
• Create user documentation, training materials, process guides, and system instructions, and conduct training sessions or workshops for business users.
• Act as a central reference and information source for assigned ICT projects, providing guidance and support on system functionality, business processes, and solution requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of requirements, specifications, approvals, test results, change requests, training materials, and project documentation.
• Ensure ICT solutions support Atkore’s operational requirements, customer service standards, data integrity, commercial objectives, compliance obligations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Goals achievement of performance and development goals as indicated in performance review from year to year.
• Organisation timely completion of tasks as required by internal/external customers within designated time frames and deadlines.
• Functionality smooth operation of the system as per business requirements.
• Down time minimal disruption to the SAP system, particularly during core business hours.
• Commercial knowledge strong understanding of company business systems and ability to tailor SAP to achieve required outcomes.
• Execution ability to fulfill company requirements as directed 100% of the time with suitable project management plans.
• Response timely completion of reporting requirements and tasks within given timeframes as required by internal/external customers.
• Customer satisfaction ensure customer satisfaction levels are within pre-determined guidelines and/or service level agreements.
• Development responsible for own personal learning and growth as well as evaluating, coaching, recognizing and building on their teams abilities.
• Compliance observance of the Atkore Guide to Ethical Conduct and relevant laws pertaining to business activities.

Essential skills/ qualifications/ experience/ licenses/ generic competencies:
• Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years + of experience in a project management consulting role (technical or functional) in SAP programming.
• Demonstrated experience as an ICT Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, SAP Functional Analyst, ERP Consultant, Systems Consultant, Project Analyst, or similar role.
• Experience with ERP/SAP systems, business applications, systems implementation, process improvement, logistics, procurement, inventory, finance, controlling, sales order processing, reporting, or related business operations
• Experience in life cycle implementations, upgrades or roll outs.
• Extensive experience with the integration of SAP modules including SD, FI, PP, MM, CO.
• Strong customer service and communication skills both verbal and written to be able to deal with and convey information to all levels of end users.
• Previous experience training personnel with varying levels of education and ability.
• Experience or the ability to perform the full range of duties independently.
• Ability to resolve challenging and advanced SAP technical support issues in a timely manner.
