Full Time Cook
$79,499 + SUPERANNUATION
Duties
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a high standard, including special meals and dietary requirement requests.
• Ensure correct portion control, food presentation, garnishing, and plating of meals.
• Examine foodstuffs and ingredients to ensure quality, freshness, and suitability for use.
• Operate and monitor kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, broilers, roasters, and other cooking appliances.
• Store food and ingredients in temperature-controlled facilities and maintain food safety standards.
• Maintain food logs and assist with stock control, stock ordering, and inventory monitoring procedures.
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements in consultation with management and the Head Chef.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, workplace health and safety, and cleanliness at all times.
• Clean and maintain food preparation areas, kitchen equipment, and workstations.
• Deliver high-quality food production and customer satisfaction through consistent food quality and presentation.
• Operate live cooking stations and prepare meals in a timely and efficient manner when required.
• Train, supervise, and support kitchen staff and apprentices.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and workplace development activities as required.
Required Skills
• Hold relevant qualifications in commercial cookery and hospitality
• Have at least 1 year of relevant experience
