Are you a proven fundraising professional with an established network of South African donors and a passion for creating meaningful social impact?
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Fundraising & Partnerships Specialist to drive strategic fundraising initiatives that support healthcare and education programmes across partner communities in South Africa.
Working closely with conservation and community development teams, this role will play a critical part in securing and managing partnerships that improve access to quality healthcare, early childhood development, and education opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and secure new fundraising and partnership opportunities
Develop compelling grant proposals and donor submissions
Build and maintain strong relationships with foundations, corporates, philanthropists, and development partners
Coordinate project budgets and ensure alignment with donor requirements
Develop and manage monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks
Prepare donor reports, partnership updates, and board reports
Track donor trends and maintain fundraising databases
Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies
Requirements
Bachelor's or Honours Degree in a relevant field
Minimum 5 years' experience in fundraising, proposal development, and grant writing
Demonstrated success securing significant funding from South African donors
Strong understanding of the health, education, and development sectors
Excellent proposal writing, communication, and presentation skills
Strong financial literacy and budget management experience
Proven project management and stakeholder engagement abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

What Success Looks Like
The successful candidate will have the capability to build and maintain a strong donor network and contribute significantly towards raising more than R20 million per annum within three years.
