With a strong presence across the WA Wheatbelt, they are committed to providing their customers with world-class equipment and exceptional after-sales support. As a leading dealer for Case IH and other top-tier brands, they pride themselves on their technical expertise, integrity, and deep-rooted connection to the broadacre farming industry.
The Role:
Boekeman Machinery is seeking a skilled and motivated Agricultural Heavy Duty Service Mechanic (Fitter (General)) to join their high-performing service team. This dual-focused role involves supporting broadacre farmers through high-level diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. You will work across both their modern branch workshops and on-site at client farms, ensuring the peak performance of large-scale agricultural machinery during the most critical times of the farming calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical faults on a variety of broadacre machinery, including tractors (200hp+), headers, and sprayers.
• Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and preparation of new machinery to manufacturer standards.
• Conduct complex troubleshooting across mechanical, hydraulic (including CCLS / PFC systems), and 12/24V auto-electrical systems.
• Execute routine servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and minimize seasonal downtime.
• Assemble, install, and test mechanical components and hydraulic systems.
• Interpret technical manuals, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams to assess faults accurately.
• Provide efficient on-farm field service and breakdown support to clients across the Wheatbelt.
• Maintain accurate service records, labor hours, and technical documentation.
• Work collaboratively with the service department, parts team, and apprentices to optimize branch performance.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety (WHS) protocols and maintain a clean, professional workspace.
What We’re Looking For:
• Trade Qualification: AQF Certificate III or IV in Agricultural Mechanical Technology, Mobile Plant Technology, or a relevant Mechanical Trade.
• Experience: Proven hands-on experience servicing large agricultural machinery (tractors, headers, sprayers).
• Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic capabilities in hydraulics and auto-electrical systems.
• Technical Preference: Direct experience with CNH (Case IH / New Holland) dealership systems is highly preferred. Experience with John Deere or AGCO platforms is also highly valued.
• Attributes: A proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in remote field-service environments.
What’s on Offer:
• Competitive Salary: Attractive remuneration package with significant overtime opportunities during peak seasons.
• Stability: Long-term career security with a reputable, well-established family business.
• Growth: Ongoing factory training and professional development through CNH Industrial and other brand partners.
• Environment: A supportive, team-oriented culture with a focus on work-life balance in a thriving regional community.
• Resources: Access to the latest diagnostic tools, modern service vehicles, and industry-leading technology.
