POSITION: Full Time Chef
LEVEL: Qualified Chef Grade 3 / Level 4.
38-hour a week
Salary: $76,600
Key area of Responsibility for All Employee’s of the Coomealla Memorial Sporting Club Limited:

- Support and promote the Coomealla Memorial Sporting Club Limited.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Preparing and Cooking Food in accordance with Club Policies and Procedures.
- Preparation of Food for Freezing / Preserving for Function Planning.
- Monitoring Quality of Food Preparation / Presentation at All Stages.
- Work as part of collective Chef Team to ensure efficient kitchen operation.
- Demonstrate a high standard of Techniques and Providing advise on Cooking
Procedures.
- Provide direct supervision and instruction of Apprentices, Kitchen, and Catering
- Staff in accordance with Club policies, to ensure they maintain satisfactory work
performance.
- Provide input into Food Preparation issues with Management, Dietitians, Kitchen
and Wait Staff as required.
- Prepare Menus, including Food and Wage costs.
- Prepare and Order Food Supply Orders
- Maintain and develop efficient operational standards in all kitchen areas.
- Maintain the kitchen and associated work areas in accordance with Work Health
and Safety policies.
- Maintain the kitchen and associated work areas in accordance with Food Safety /
Hygiene Regulations.
- Ensure all work areas are cleaned to satisfactory standards at the completion of
each shift.
- Assist with the development and implementation of new menu lines in liaison
with Executive Chef.
- Undertake further training / development to maintain satisfactory industry
knowledge.
- Develop and maintain an effective communication liaison with the Executive Chef/ Management.
- Any duties of reasonable nature as directed by Management.
Skills & Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef or Cook
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to supervise and train junior kitchen staff
- Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays
