Full Time Retail Manager
Salary: $75,000- $85,000 per annum (plus superannuation)

About the Business
Sai Sindhura Unit Trust operates a busy Shell Service Station in South West Rocks. In addition to fuel and convenience products, the business offers a range of food service items including pies, hot food options, and grab-and-go meals. We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to take full ownership of business operations and drive performance across all departments.

Position Purpose
The Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire business operation, including fuel, convenience retail, and hot food offerings. This role will determine product mix, stock levels, and service standards; implement purchasing and marketing policies; manage staff; and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.

Key Responsibilities
• Select the overall product range across fuel, convenience items, and prepared food (including pies and hot meals), maintain suitable stock levels, and define service expectations for store operations.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels and financial transactions
• Monitor stock turnover and minimise waste, particularly for perishable food lines
• Develop and implement purchasing and promotional strategies specifically for a fuel station convenience retail environment to maximise profitability.
• Set prices for all retail goods and food items based on cost, competition, and market demand
• Drive customer awareness and sales through targeted promotion and advertising of the outlet's products and services, paying particular attention to higher-margin lines including sales of food items.
• Implement in-store promotions, signage, and seasonal campaigns
• Assist customers with purchases across fuel, convenience products, and hot food items, while providing guidance on product selection and use as needed.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service standards
• Prepare budgets for the establishment, including setting sales targets, controlling costs, and managing profit margins.
• Monitor financial performance and prepare reports as required
• Handle the recruitment, training, and day-to-day supervision of all staff.
• Prepare rosters and manage staff allocation across retail and food service areas
• Ensure all workplace activities comply with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations.
• Maintain food safety standards for all hot food and pie offerings
• Implement and monitor workplace safety procedures

Selection Criteria (Requirements)
• Relevant qualification and/or at least 1 2 years of experience in retail management (service station, convenience, or fast-food environment preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to determine product mix, manage stock levels, and set service standards
• Experience in purchasing, pricing, and implementing marketing policies
• Strong budgeting and financial management skills
• Proven ability to select, train, and supervise staff
• Sound knowledge of OHS and food safety compliance requirements
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-product environment
