BP Narellan is a busy service station and convenience retail outlet operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Strategically located on a major arterial road in Southwestern Sydney, the business services a high volume of daily customers and provides a wide range of essential products and services, including fuel, truck-accessible refuelling, mobile payment options (BPme), groceries, snacks, hot and cold beverages, and customer amenities.
The business has built a strong reputation in the local community for excellent customer service, competitive fuel pricing, and quality coffee.

Position Overview
BP Narellan is seeking an experienced and motivated full-time Retail Manager to oversee and manage evening operations at its busy fuel and retail outlet.
This is a genuine full-time managerial role responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of a high-volume 24-hour service station and retail business. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high customer service standards, leading staff, and supporting the continued growth and profitability of the business.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, organise, direct, control, and coordinate the overall operations of the retail outlet
• Oversee daily operations of both the fuel service area and retail shop
• Determine product mix, pricing strategies, and stock levels to optimise sales and profitability
• Manage fuel stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure consistent availability and compliance with fuel storage regulations
• Develop and implement local marketing and promotional strategies
• Monitor sales performance and prepare operational and financial reports
• Manage store budgets, expenses, and cost control measures
• Oversee stock ordering, supplier relationships, and inventory control
• Ensure high standards of customer service and resolve escalated customer concerns
• Recruit, train, supervise, and performance-manage staff across multiple shifts
• Ensure compliance with franchise requirements, workplace health and safety obligations, and all relevant regulatory standards
• Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, security and operational efficiency at all times

Essential Criteria
• Relevant qualification in Business, Management, Retail Management, or related field, and/or at least 5 years of relevant management experience
• Demonstrated experience in a fuel service station and/or retail management environment
• Proven ability to manage operations in a fast-paced, high-volume workplace
• Strong leadership, organisational, and team management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage evening operations effectively
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to work in the evening shift

Highly Desirable
• Previous experience in a similar role within a petrol/service station environment
• Experience with retail software systems and general IT competency
• Familiarity with POS systems, staff rostering, and inventory management software
• Experience managing multi-channel operations
• Strong ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a busy environment
