Grey Whales Removals is seeking a full-time Transport Company Manager to oversee and manage the daily transport operations of our removals and furniture delivery business in Sydney, NSW. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the movement of household and commercial goods, supervising transport staff, maintaining fleet readiness, managing client relationships, and ensuring the business operates safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and organise daily and next-day transport schedules for residential and commercial removals and furniture deliveries.
• Allocate vehicles, drivers, and offsiders according to job requirements, staffing needs, and operational priorities.
• Supervise multiple driver and offsider teams and monitor performance to ensure jobs are completed to company standards and on schedule.
• Liaise with clients to schedule, plan, and coordinate moves and deliveries, and provide updates throughout the service process.
• Manage the execution of removals and delivery operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely service delivery.
• Monitor team progress and maintain communication with staff throughout the day to track job status, resolve issues, and respond to delays.
• Handle customer after-care issues, including investigating and resolving complaints, damage claims, or loss matters.
• Control operating revenue and expenses, monitor job profitability, issue invoices, collect payments, and oversee staff payment processes.
• Manage budgeting, pricing, and cost control to support overall business performance.
• Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and roadworthiness of company vehicles and ensure fleet availability.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards, transport regulations, and internal operational procedures.
• Coordinate with suppliers and clients to support ongoing transport service delivery and business continuity.

Candidate Requirements
• Relevant experience in transport operations management, removals, logistics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and coordinate transport activities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational, scheduling, and operational planning skills.
• Experience in client communication, service coordination, and problem resolution.
• Knowledge of fleet maintenance, transport safety requirements, and workplace compliance obligations.
• Sound financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, invoicing, and payment oversight.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work full-time in Sydney, NSW.
