Type: Full-time - 38 hours per week
Location: 3 Wiebbe Hayes Lane, Geraldton, Western Australia 6530
Salary: $100,000 to $110,000 per annum

VL & TT Tran (T.T TRAN & V.L TRAN & VL TRAN FAMILY) is a long-established family farming business based in Geraldton, Western Australia. The business specialises in large-scale vegetable cultivation and greenhouse production, supplying major supermarket chains, wholesale distributors, restaurants, and Asian grocery markets across Western Australia and export markets.

The business manages a diversified agricultural operation across open-field farming and greenhouse facilities, producing a broad range of crops including potatoes, sweet potatoes, leafy Asian vegetables, herbs, specialty Asian crops, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and capsicums. With continued growth in production scale, infrastructure investment, and market demand, the business is focused on strengthening operational systems, improving efficiency, and supporting long-term commercial sustainability.

Position Objective
This position supports VL & TT Tran in strengthening operational performance, improving organisational efficiency, and supporting sustainable long-term growth across the business’s agricultural operations.

The role is responsible for reviewing current business systems, identifying operational improvements, analysing production and financial performance, and providing strategic recommendations to support sustainable growth. The position works closely with the Directors, the General Manager and other Department Managers to support informed business decision-making and long-term planning.

Key Responsibilities
• Review existing operational systems and business processes across farming and greenhouse activities to identify areas for improvement.
• Analyse production performance, labour utilisation, workflow processes, and operational efficiency to support improved productivity outcomes.
• Develop strategic recommendations to support business growth, operational scalability, and long-term sustainability.
• Assess current resource allocation, production planning, and crop management processes to improve operational coordination.
• Conduct financial and operational analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
• Identify opportunities to expand, improve cost control, production efficiency, and return on investment across agricultural operations.
• Review supply chain and distribution processes to support consistent product quality, timely delivery, and reduced post-harvest losses.
• Assist management in evaluating market opportunities, diversification strategies, and operational risks associated with changing market conditions.
• Support the implementation of systems and procedures to improve reporting, performance monitoring, and internal business controls.
• Provide recommendations regarding infrastructure utilisation, workflow improvements, and operational planning for future expansion activities.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders regarding operational and business improvement initiatives.
• Prepare reports, operational assessments, and strategic recommendations for management review and decision-making.
• Monitor compliance with relevant workplace, environmental, food safety, and agricultural regulations and recommend improvements where required.
• Assist management in developing practical risk management strategies relating to production, supply chain, seasonal conditions, and operational continuity.

Assessment Criteria Qualification, Work Experience and Skills
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in management consulting, operational improvement, or business analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational, production, and financial data.
• Experience in improving business efficiency, workflow processes, and organisational performance.
• Sound understanding of agricultural operations, supply chain processes, and business planning.
• Ability to develop practical strategies to support operational growth and long-term sustainability.
• Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
